Fola E. Ogunsiakan, Co-founder and Group CEO of Wondo Technologies Mauritius 

Fola Ogunsiakan is a co-founder and Group CEO of Wondo Technologies Mauritius (WTM), an early-stage Fintech holding company building various technology assets focused on financial expansion and inclusion in Africa.  In his operating capacity at WTM, he is responsible for defining the roadmap for, and supporting the execution of all company-wide strategic initiatives in Africa.  As part of his responsibilities, he is also the interim CEO of RESE Advanced Technologies, its WealthTech subsidiary enabling asset-backed investing in real estate through its digital real estate sales ecosystem. 

Fola also founded Cedar Capital, a proprietary operating investment firm focused on real estate, and early-stage technology businesses in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to founding Cedar Capital, Fola was a Partner and co-founder of Constant Capital, a West Africa based Financial Advisory and Investment firm, where he led the principal investment practice.

Prior to Constant Capital, Fola worked at Motorola Networks where, as Head of Business Operations & Business Development for Sub-Saharan Africa, he oversaw and helped manage strategic transactions and activities for Motorola Networks Division’s $150 million portfolio. He also served as a member of Motorola’s Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Senior Leaders Strategic Growth committee.

As a principal of a South Africa based venture management group, Africa Venture Partners, Fola started up and managed Accelon Nigeria – now Internet Solutions (IS) West Africa – a premier provider of data telecommunications solutions, which earned the Nigerian Telecoms Award for Best ISP of the Year in 2006. Upon exiting Accelon, Fola served as Program Manager and Strategy Advisor on the successful 2007 $1 billion-dollar bid for Nigeria’s national telecommunications operator – NITEL. 

Fola is currently a mentor at Columbia University’s Centre for Technology Management and was previously an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Qatar’s Science and Technology Park Research-to-Startup Program.

He is a past President of the Harvard Business School Association of Nigeria. He also serves on the boards and investment committees of various financial and early-stage technology companies.
